The G. K. Chesterton Web Page
G. K. Chesterton was a journalist, poet, novelist, playwright, debater, and Catholic apologist in the early twentieth century. He was a contemporary of George Bernard Shaw, H. G. Wells, and Henry James; great writers who he spent most of his life cheerfully disagreeing with. His prose is insightful, his poetry is sublime, and his words, unlike those of his contemporaries still ring as true today as they did at the turn of the century. This web page is devoted to his work, the philosophy behind it, and the man himself.
